A former Cheshire police officer found guilty of molesting a woman has not overturned his conviction.
Alan Friday of Hunts Cross in Liverpool dismissed his appeal in Bolton Crown Court last week and was charged £ 620 in court costs.
The 42-year-old, a former Cheshire police officer in the canine unit, posted a photo of his victim on a website called Fab Swingers.
This followed the breakdown of their four-year marriage on Friday in 2017.
His victim found out that the picture was published during a work evening in December 2019.
However, Friday emailed her repeatedly calling her to prevent her from reporting him to the police.
It was also found that the former police officer had repeatedly gone to the woman’s sister’s home.
A biennial joint decree was issued on Friday with 20 days for rehabilitation requests and 100 hours of unpaid work.
He’s also required to complete a court for better relationship building and a two-year restraining order has been imposed that prevented Friday from contacting his victim.
Freitag resigned from his position with the force in February.
However, a Cheshire police hearing earlier this month found that if he had still been employed by the police, he would have been fired.
As of Friday, two cases of gross misconduct and another charge of misconduct had been established.
At the hearing, Chief Constable Darren Martland stated: “I have a strong belief that the conduct of the former Constable Friday has fallen well below the expected standard and I have found that his conduct in relation to Allegations 1 and 2 was gross misconduct represents. “
“I firmly believe that the appropriate sanction for either of the two allegations without notice would be dismissal if he had remained as a police officer.”
