A Cheshire woman lost ten stones and then took part in a marathon.
Vicky Taylor was referred to the referral program exercise program with Cheshire Change Hub in January 2020.
When she began her fitness journey, Vicky could only cover two and a half miles on the treadmill.
Just a year later, she improved her physical and mental health and completed a half and a full marathon.

Vicky hopes to keep losing extra weight on top of the 10 pounds she has already lost and hopes to do more marathons in the future.
She said, “I run a lot easier and my life has changed for the better. I am very grateful for all of the continued support I have received from the Cheshire Change Hub and the gym.”
Terry Hancock lost eight pounds and reversed his type 2 diabetes after joining Brio Leisure in April 2017.
Terry was referred to the Cheshire Change Hub by his family doctor after he was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and he was 21.7 lb.

After sticking to a five times weekly fitness schedule and taking a series of exercise classes at Northwich Memorial Court, Terry dropped eight stones.
He now weighs just over 13 pounds and is free of type 2 diabetes.
Terry said, “I feel a lot fitter now, I have less pain and my breathing is easier.
“Thanks to everyone at Brio for helping me achieve my weight loss and become healthier. I now weigh 13 kg! “
