Police released a CCTV image after a man “exposed” himself in Cheshire city

A woman was followed from a train station by a man who then indecently exposed himself, the police said.

Now the officials have released a video image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the crime.

The incident occurred between 10:20 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Peel Street, Macclesfield.

The man is believed to have followed the woman from the city’s train station before exposing himself on Friday, July 16.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his mid-thirties, about 1.70 m tall, of medium height with short blonde hair and small eyes.

The man was wearing a blue T-shirt with white piping on the sleeves and light blue jeans.

In a statement, Cheshire Constabulary said: “The investigation into the incident is ongoing and as part of the investigation officials have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with their investigation.”

Police Constable Phoebe Keen of the Macclesfield Local Police Unit said: “I would like to assure the local community that this appears to be an isolated incident and that we have received no reports of similar crimes in or around the Macclesfield area.

“The investigation into the incident is ongoing and we are committed to doing everything in our power to identify the person responsible.

“As part of our investigation, we ask anyone who was nearby and believes they saw the perpetrator to contact us.

“The same goes for anyone who thinks they know the perpetrator or has dashcam or CCTV footage of him.”
