The 2021 Miss Cheshire winner wants to be the first to win Miss England with red hair and says it would prove that “you are beautiful just by being yourself”.
Heather Gaulton, 26, of Sale, was crowned Miss Cheshire in the Miss Manchester Ceremony finals and will represent the region in the Miss England Finals on August 27th.
Heather is one of 46 women competing for the Miss England title, with the winner taking part in Miss World.
The Trafford Leisure Marketing Content and Campaigns manager said, “I’m still in disbelief.
“Never in a million years would I have expected something like this to happen to me. I am so proud to represent the region that I adore.
“I love where I live and work and I am honored to be able to call this region my home.
“In addition, I want to represent women and be a positive role model for girls and young women.
“Miss England is a huge platform for promoting women who support women.”

A woman with red hair has never won Miss England, and Heather wants to prove that being a redhead is nice.
Heather said, “I know how hard it can be to grow up with red hair. People can bully you and make you feel different and wrong.
“Young girls shouldn’t want to change because they’re different, and if someone with red hair won Miss England it would show the younger generation that you are beautiful just because you are yourself.”
Ever since Heather was searched for Miss Manchester at a night out, she has grown stronger.
She said, “My first reaction to the exploration was that the pageant was not for me.
“However, I quickly learned that Miss England is much more than a beauty pageant.
“The competition has many components and we have to prove our interests, our ambition, our personality and our convictions.
“There are no restrictions on participation, all women are welcome. For me, it’s all about girl power, body positivity and being real women.
“The competition has really helped me grow so much; my confidence and belief in my worth and worth have increased, I even started my own part-time business as a personal trainer in a boutique women-only gym.
“Miss England celebrates women’s accomplishments and we seek positive role models to inspire others.

Heather also won the Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Eco Wear awards and was in the top ten in each round at the Miss Manchester ceremony on May 22nd.
The 26-year-old will also take part in the Miss England Sports Round, a physical sports competition run by the Royal Marine Commando and the Go Commando Bootcamp.
Heather added, “Physical activity is very important to me. I have been with Trafford Leisure since I was 16 when I started out as a lifeguard.
“I love supporting Trafford Leisure and helping them encourage our community to move more each day.
“My work enables me to help people of all ages understand the physical and mental benefits of exercise.
“I really enjoyed working on the launch of move Urmston. It’s an amazing facility with brilliant courses and I enjoy training there while I train for the Miss England Sports Challenge.”

A big part of the Miss England contest is using the platform to raise funds and raise awareness.
Heather will raise funds for Beauty with a Purpose, a charity that helps disadvantaged children around the world.
She also plans to run charity fitness classes for young and vulnerable women.
The Miss Cheshire winner said, “During the lockdowns, I supported the Elle for Elle charity and learned how domestic violence increased during the pandemic.
“I want to support abused women through physical activity, help them become more confident and have more control over their lives.”
