Cheshire Oaks has said there are some “exciting announcements coming soon” as they look forward to the restrictions being eased by April 12th.
The designer outlet in Ellesmere Port recently added Champion, Longchamp and Hamleys to its list of stores.
The general manager, Kenny Murray, spoke to ECHO about how the designer outlet dealt with lockdown.
He said: “Although the past year has been extremely challenging, it has been great to see how the staff at the center have adapted to the challenges we have faced.
“We have come a long way since the initial lockdown and shutdown of non-essential retail stores and continued to support our team members during the closings.
“As expected, we’ve seen a drop in visitor numbers, but we’re very positive about the reopening.”
Mr Murray talked about the changes they had made to purchasing to keep everything safe.
He said: “We have worked very closely with our brand partners to implement new technologies and experiences and to support the adaptation to the new shopping methods.
“We introduced By Appointment, which allows customers to book shopping hours in stores to help customers find the quieter visiting hours.

“During the summer, we made adjustments to our outdoor dining areas as we understood the importance of our guests meeting and enjoying time with friends and families outside.
“This is something we expect to see a resurgence this summer as lockdown measures are starting to wear off. We are also very much looking forward to opening our play area this spring when we have our family guests before the.” Welcome back summer vacation. “

He also said they are looking for more ways to offer click and reservation products to buyers.
Mr Murray also said the outlet village worked with site owners McArthurGlen, who operate 25 centers in the UK, to obtain Bureau Veritas SafeGuard Covid-19 certification.

He added, “We know that our guests at Cheshire Oaks not only appreciate and enjoy our premium stores, but also the downtown shopping experiences we offer.
“When we reopened last year, we realized that guests wanted to come and spend time in the center and we will continue to do so in the safest possible way.”
Cheshire Oaks first opened in 1995 and while doing nothing specific to reopen it, there will be more announcements in the future if government guidelines allow.
Mr. Murray added, “We are providing for this [the reopening on April 12] will feel like an event in itself.
“As with all other locks, our primary focus will be on ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers, brand partners and employees.
“We are very much looking forward to seeing guests in the center again from Monday, April 12th.”
