Cheshire: Woman found for Covid travel test requirement breach

A WOMAN has been hit with a large fine for breaching coronavirus requirements relating to travel.

Becky Usuanlele was found to have breached health protection coronavirus international travel regulations on March 3 last year.

The 45-year-old contravened the restrictions ‘without reasonable excuse’ at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Five by not having booked a day two and day eight Covid-19 test on her arrival back in England.

Usuanlele, of Longford Street in Orford, appeared before Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 28, where the charge was found proved.

Here, she was ordered to pay a total of £2,026, broken down into a fine of £1,760, court costs of £90 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £176.
