Ted was in the garden when he slipped his leash and ran away. He was hit by a car afterwards, but its owner believes he may have injured himself while running further away.
An appeal has now been sent to find Ted, who was seen “quite a long way from his place of refuge”.
Speaking to CheshireLive, Ted’s owner, Beth Loftus said, “My grandparents only looked after him a little. He was on a leash in the garden to have a pee and he just slipped out of his collar and ran.
“We don’t think it was a very bad goal so we don’t think that hopefully he’s injured, we think he’s fine but we just have no idea where he is.
“When someone sees something, just to let us know. Give us a call or write to us wherever he was seen.
“We were told that it was best if people didn’t get near him because it could only scare him and keep him running away.
“Any sightings of him would be really helpful.”
