The Easter eggs were donated to two charities

Port Grocery and Helping Halton’s Kids have benefited from a donation of almost 200 chocolate Easter eggs.
The Port Grocery is an innovative organization focused on food waste and food poverty, providing high quality, affordable groceries to people in the community regardless of their background.
Supporting Halton’s children ensures children are cared for in the local community – they provide school meals and targeted support.
The teams from Specsavers Ellesmere Port, Cheshire Oaks, Runcorn and Heswall in Cheshire came together to make the donation.
The stores donated a total of 167 eggs to be donated to the two charities that will be distributed to those most in need at Easter.
The donations were made through personal employee contributions and a top-up from the various business partners.
Of the eggs donated, 102 went to The Port Grocery while 65 went to Helping Halton’s Kids – major local organizations.
Rita Lewis, director of The Port Grocery, thanked the Specsavers colleagues for their donation.
She said, “Thank you to our local businesses for kindly donating over 100 Easter eggs to our members.
“We were delighted that they wanted to make sure that at least some of the local children got a reward this weekend.”
