The nominations for the Everybody Sport and Recreation Awards for 2021 are open.
And Baroness Tanni Gray-Thompson Paralympic Athlete and Crossbench Peer returns to host the awards for 2021.
They are returning after a year due to Covid and will be held at Crewe Hall on October 15th.
They aim to recognize contributions from sports clubs, volunteers, organizations and individuals in the fields of sports, games and active recreation across Cheshire East.
The awards are the perfect way to recognize and celebrate all of your hard work.
Categories include:
Sports Personality of the Year
Prize for health and wellbeing
Club of the year
Trainer of the year
Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year
Volunteer of the Year
Young Sports Achiever of the Year
This year they will also be honoring the Everybody Customer Hero, Lifetime Achievement, and the Chairman’s Award.
All sports and leisure activities accept services from the last 12 to 18 months (September 2019 to March 2021).
The nominees may want to include in the nomination submissions details of how they have overcome Covid-19-related barriers to sport in the past 12 months.

“The evening is a great way to celebrate the achievements of our amazing local community and recognize the hard work they do each year.
“This year promises to be very special, of course, and we look forward to reading everyone’s inspiring nominations!”
Baroness Tanni Gray-Thompson added, “It’s been an unprecedented 12 months and I’m very excited to be returning to the Everybody Awards this October.
“I was really excited about the heroes and the dedication to athletic performance at the Awards 2019 and I can’t wait to meet this year’s finalists.
“2020 has certainly been a challenging year for health, exercise and fitness, but we’ve seen incredible community spirit and innovation during difficult times, and this year’s awards will be an opportunity to celebrate how far we’ve come and look back We couldn’t see the successes last year. “
Past winners include Ironman athlete Jack Schofield for Sports Personality of the Year, British Judo Champion Milly Horsefield for Young Sports Achiever and the fantastic Pauline for Client Hero.
The previous Everybody Awards were an extraordinary evening that everyone enjoyed immensely, with amazing success stories and heartwarming experiences.
