A popular Indian restaurant chain has confirmed the launch date for their newest venue in Cheshire Oaks.
Mowgli Street Food, which has moved to the former Giraffe restaurant unit in the outlet village of Ellesmere Port, will open its doors to diners on June 30th.
The company is currently recruiting to fill 50 positions created by the new restaurant.
Nisha Katona, founder and owner of Mowgli Street Food, said at the beginning of the year that the space next to the new playground in the designer outlet will have a “massive” atrium and “space for 65 seats”.
She founded her first restaurant in Liverpool in 2014 with the aim of serving the kind of food that Indians eat at home and on the streets.
Nisha gave up her 20-year career as a lawyer to do this, and several other restaurants across the UK followed after Mowgli Liverpool was founded.
Cheshire Oaks will be their 12th venue with four more scheduled to open over the next two years.
In a pre-opening speech, Nisha said she was “excited” to come to Cheshire Oaks and “bring Mowgli to a new audience at one of the Northwest’s most popular attractions.”
She added, “Mowgli’s first restaurants were in the North West and I am delighted that our next reopening is in our home region and that after such a difficult and uncertain period for so many people here in Cheshire we can fill 50 hospitality jobs.”
