Three teenagers were handed fines for Covid after they gathered on a bridge in Cheshire.
Police were called to Haslington near Crewe on Monday after people raised concerns about the welfare of someone on a bridge.
When officers arrived, they found a group of six young people gathering on the bridge in violation of current coronavirus regulations.
Three members of the group were on their second warning and each received a firm charge of £ 200.
A Haslington Police spokesman said on social media: “Three Covid-19 fines of £ 200 were imposed yesterday after a 999 emergency report was released on welfare concerns on a bridge.
“It turned out that a group of six young people were gathering. Three young people were on their second warning, so the fines have now been imposed.”
National lockdown rules require people to stay at home unless strictly necessary.
As of March 8, restrictions have been eased to allow people to spend time in public spaces to relax or to move around on their own, with your household / support bubble, or with someone else.
