A new music and wellness festival with a secret artist line-up is coming to Cheshire this September.
The Secret Sessions will take place September 2-5, 2021 at Bolesworth Castle, Tattenhall and are a festival for new music and wellness.
The festival is also dedicated to ensuring that over 60 percent of the artist line-up is made up of women and non-binary artists.
The artist line-up is kept secret until day one of the festival, encouraging audiences to be open-minded and discover new music and talent.
STORY: Big events in Cheshire in 2021 to look forward to
Big names like Kacey Musgrave, Freya Ridings, Arlo Parks, Bastille and Lumineers were hosted by the Secret Sessions Live Music Platform.
The festival will also nurture new artists through three competitions to discover new undiscovered talent.
Solo artists and groups are invited to apply and, if successful, will be invited to perform on the main stage of the festival and / or the stage devoted exclusively to women and non-binary artists and curated and programmed by Girls to the Front.
The Secret Sessions Festival will also combine music with mental and physical wellness activities to create a 4-day celebration of human connectedness and togetherness during the festival.

They will partner with London-based fitness brand Gymbox to offer yoga, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sessions, meditation classes, dance classes and sports activities.
Hannah Curtis Nunn, Group Fitness Director of Gymbox said, “The festival will create those magical moments of connection and holistic health, and create a safe space to reconnect with yourself and your community after starving for so long . “
The Secret Sessions Festival aims to bring people together after a long period of time when friends and family couldn’t spend time together.
They also want to address gender bias in the music industry by advocating for women and non-binary artists.
