Storm Christoph caused severe flooding in parts of Great Britain. Hundreds of people in northern England had to evacuate their homes on Wednesday evening.
There are more than 200 flood warnings across England on Thursday morning, including four mortal warnings in the northwest.
The heavy rains have flooded many roads with Manchester, Cheshire, Yorkshire, Lancashire and Wales being the hardest hit areas.

- A555 Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road in both directions from Bramhall Oil Terminal to Styal Road
- The A574 Warrington Road in Leigh is partially blocked at A572 Chapel Street
- The A5106 Chorley Road in Standish is partially blocked between the B5239 Red Rock Lane and the A49 Wigan Road
- Lumns Lane in Clifton has been closed for Rake Lane (Clifton, Swinton) and A6044 Agecroft Road (Agecroft, Pendlebury).
- Strines Road in Stockport partially blocked near Station Road
- The A574 Warrington Road is partially blocked between the A580 East Lancashire Road (Greyhound Island) and Greenfold Way
- B5095 Manchester Road, Cheadle blocked between Morningside Drive (Cheadle) and Mill Lane (Alexandra Hospital, Parrs Wood)
- B5166 Styal Road partially blocked between the prison and Grange Park Avenue
- The A556 Chester Road has been closed to the north from the A559 Manchester Road (Lostock Gralam, Northwich) to the A5033 Northwich Road
- Alderley Road in Wilmslow outside of town is closed from Bedells Lane (Fulshaw Cross / King’s Arms Roundabout) to the A34 Melrose Way
- The single lane M56 is closed on the M56 west between the J6 A538 Wilmslow Road (Hale Four Seasons roundabout) and the J7 A556 Chester Road
- A5143 Bridge Lane on Hillcrest Road and A5102 Bramhall Lane South on Broadway and Fir Road closed due to flooding at Bramhall Green Roundabout

- Underbank Road and Stanah Road in Thornton Cleveleys have been closed in both directions due to flooding from Raikes Road to River Road
- The A5106 Chorley Road is partially blocked due to flooding between the B5239 Red Rock Lane and the A49 Wigan Road
