Despite the rise of the Omicron coronavirus variant, New Years Eve celebrations have given the go-ahead.
Although no restrictions have been put in place on celebrations in England, people are urged to exercise caution.
For those looking to see 2021 and welcome 2022 in style, we’ve compiled a list of some of the Cheshire events that will be happening tonight (December 31st).

Some of the events are free and only possible on foot, so arrive early to secure a spot.
Warrington
Warrington Market in Time Square is hosting a free event for those over 18.
From 7:00 pm to 1:00 am, the Cookhouse will host “an evening of food, drink and live entertainment with a night of Motown, soul and disco”.
There’s live entertainment from Soul Searchers and a special performance from saxophonist Beverly Chadwick.
The event is first come, first served, in order to comply with the event capacities that have been safely reduced by Covid and to guarantee a seat for every guest. Covid-19 passports are not required for entry.
Cocktails in Newton’s Bar

Also in Time Square, Newton’s Restaurant and Bar will host an evening of live music and entertainment.
There will also be “a range of delicious American-inspired dishes and incredible cocktails”.
The event starts at 9:00 p.m. and guests can dance to the themed hits of Ex and Oh until 11:00 p.m.
Gulliver’s World theme park is hosting a New Year’s Eve adventure for children and the adventurous.
Select rides and attractions are open from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. There will be fireworks at 9:30 p.m., and also at midnight for those who want to party late.
Children and adults can enjoy indoor and outdoor entertainment, such as character visits and fire shows.
Participants are encouraged to wrap up warm and prepare for a dance during this unique New Years Eve celebration.

Wilmslow
Party at Revolution Bar in Wilmslow from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.
A live DJ playing hip hop, R&B and house all night will set the scene at this Cheshire cocktail bar and club.
Tickets sell fast, with Advanced Discount Tickets go for £ 27.50.
There is also a VIP area upstairs for those with a VIP ticket, which can be purchased for £ 36.30.

Alderley Edge
Churchill Tree Pub in Alderley Edge is hosting a “fabulous night of food and drink”.
For 60 pounds per person, guests can enjoy a three-course menu from 7 p.m.
If all you want to do is have a drink, you can buy a drink-only ticket from 8:30 p.m. for just £ 20, which can be pre-ordered or bought in the evening.
The dress code is “Dress to Impress” and guests can book tickets by ringing the doorbell in the pub.
The Cheshire Pub Company will host similar events in other locations in Cheshire; The Frozen Mop in Mobberley, Crown and Conspirator in Bramhall and The Ship in Styal.
The beer garden at the Commonhall Social in Chester
Chester
Commonhall Social is hosting a casual, free New Years Eve event that’s only for walk-ins.
Dance to the live DJ in the Beer Hall on Commonhall Street in Chester city center from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Tucked away on one of the back streets of Chester, this hidden gem serves craft beer from small breweries all night.
At the event, first come, first served, and costumes are welcome.
Off The Wall pub on St. John Street is hosting a special New Year’s Eve event for illumination.
It will be the “biggest party in town” with champagne, prosecco, beer, spirits and shots, they say.
Join the midnight countdown and then sing and dance until 2022.
With tickets to Fatsoma for just £ 4, guests can party until 3am.
The organizers recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Crewe
Crewe Hall Hotel and Spa is hosting two incredible events; a New Years Eve masquerade ball and a New Years family party.
Families can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, and a three-course buffet, followed by a kids’ disco and entertainer.
The masquerade ball consists of champagne on arrival, a 5-course taster menu, and live entertainment.
Both events will show fireworks at midnight.
